Mikel Crespo, new coach of VCF Femenino
The Basque coach brings experience in women's football in Spain, having guided Deportivo Alavés to promotion to the top tier during the 2020-21 season
VCF Femenino will play their Copa SM la Reina opener on Wednesday, 26th of January at 8 pm kick-off time (CET) away at CD Juan Grande in Gran Canaria.
It is the third round of the competition and the second tier Canary Islanders are coming into this one after knocking out CP Cacereño in the second round by 2-0 and Levante Las Planas in the first round by 3-0.
Despite the gulf in class between the two sides. VCF Femenino will go all out in order to advance to the next round.
VCF Femenino midfielder, Anna Torrdà previewed the cup opener: “We have to go all out to show that we still have desire and ambition".
